FAQ

How Do I find a Broker?

Finding a broker who will buy or sell shares is very much dependant on your own particular circumstances and the country in which you reside. Brokers have a number of different criteria when accepting new clients and they will require extensive identification documentation, which they will advise you of at the time. The company can not appoint a broker on your behalf and only you as the shareholder can do so.

Are Optiva Right For Me?

Optiva, like any broker, will have their own criteria for taking on new clients and it is important that you fit their profile requirement.

Why Has The Share Price Stayed The Same Since Flotation?

Wealth Dragons Group PLC shares, as you know, are listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange but the market for these shares is very limited at present as the trading of shares requires both buyers and sellers. A significant number of the shares are restricted from being traded through lock in periods and the EIS tax incentive scheme.

I Would Like To Buy/Sell Shares Now, Why Can’t I?

As stated previously, in order to trade shares a broker needs to be appointed and the shares need to be in dematerialized form but as we have stated previously the market is very restricted. Investing in Shares should always be regarded as long term investment. It is also important to remember that the value of shares can also fluctuate and go down as well as up.

What is Dematerialization?

This is when shares are held in an account with your broker in electronic form and not held by you, the shareholder, in the form of a share certificate. The stock broker handling your shares would normally complete a Crest Transfer SDRN form to lodge with the Crest Counter along with your share certificate.  This documentation would then go through to Computershare who are the registrars for the company and Computershare would cancel your share certificate and the shares would be lodged electronically in the nominee company of the broker you are using.

We are aware that some execution only online brokers will not deal with the paper side of the transaction and want the shares to be transferred electronically to them it is therefore important to appoint a broker who will be able to carry out the dematerialization process for you.

Why Can I Not Have My Investment Refunded?

Once the shares have been allotted to you by the company, this is notified to the relevant authorities here in the UK and Vienna. Under the Companies Acts, the company is not able to repurchase the shares as this has the effect of reducing the capital of the company.
